Unlock the true potential of your Mercedes-AMG A45 or CLA45 with this full carbon fibre performance air intake system — a complete replacement for the restrictive factory airbox, engineered to deliver cooler, denser air, sharper throttle response and a proper induction note.
The factory A45 and CLA45 airbox is a sealed plastic case sized for noise regulations rather than airflow, and on one of the most highly strung four-cylinder engines ever built into a road car that is the first thing worth changing. This system replaces it with a carbon fibre enclosure, a carbon velocity stack and a large high-flow cone filter, feeding the turbocharger directly.
Key Features:
Full Carbon Fibre Construction
Carbon fibre airbox lid, velocity stack and engine bay heat shield panel, finished in a gloss twill weave under a UV-protected clear coat.
High-Flow Cone Filter
A large cone filter with far more surface area than the factory flat panel, washable and reusable rather than a service item you keep replacing.
Enclosed Airbox Design
The filter sits inside a sealed carbon enclosure rather than open to the engine bay, so it draws cool air from the factory inlet instead of hot air off the exhaust side.
Carbon Heat Shield Panel
A shaped carbon panel separating the intake from the engine bay, cutting heat soak into the filter on a hot day or after a hard run.
Aggressive Induction Sound
A far more present intake and turbo note under acceleration, with the refinement kept where you want it at a cruise.
Direct Bolt-On Fitment
Mounts to the factory airbox locations with no cutting or fabrication, and no permanent change to the car.
Performance Benefits:
Improved airflow for increased horsepower and torque
Sharper throttle response and faster turbo spool
Cooler intake temperatures and less heat soak on a hot day
Lighter than the factory plastic airbox assembly
A markedly better induction and turbo note
A visible upgrade every time the bonnet goes up
Vehicle Fitment:
Mercedes-AMG A45 - W176 (2013-2018)
Mercedes-AMG CLA45 - C117 (2013-2019)
2.0L Turbocharged M133 Engine
Why Choose Carbon Fibre:
Carbon fibre is light, stiff and far less conductive than the plastic and metal it replaces, which is exactly what an intake wants — it holds its shape, it does not radiate engine bay heat into the filter, and it looks the part. On a car with an engine bay as tightly packed as the A45 and CLA45, keeping heat out of the intake is a real gain rather than a styling claim.
Why Choose Proven Performance Parts:
We specialise in high-performance parts for European vehicles — Volkswagen GTI & R models, Audi S/RS platforms, BMW M cars and Mercedes-AMG. Every product we offer is carefully selected for its quality, fitment, and real-world performance — tested by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
