The factory A45 system is heavily silenced to meet European drive-by noise limits, and it is the single thing that makes one of the most highly strung four-cylinder engines ever built sound smaller than it is. This system replaces it with mandrel-bent 304 stainless tubing and a valved rear muffler, so the car stays civil on a cold start in a quiet street and opens up completely the moment you want it to.

The valves are operated from a supplied remote, so the volume is your decision rather than something the throttle position decides for you. Closed, it is close enough to standard for an early morning. Open, it is a different car entirely.
