Take the biggest restriction out of your BMW F87 M2 with this catless performance downpipe, supplied with full woven heat shielding.
The factory N55 downpipe houses the catalytic converter in a tight, heavily restricted casting sitting right under the turbocharger. It is the first thing holding the car back once a tune goes on, and replacing it is the single biggest hardware gain available to an M2.
Manufactured from premium T304 stainless steel and precision TIG welded throughout. The woven stainless shielding is wrapped over the length of the pipe, keeping radiant heat off the starter, the steering rack and the bulkhead packed in around it — which matters on the M2 because its short engine bay puts everything close together.
Key Features:
Catless Configuration
Removes the restrictive factory catalytic converter entirely for maximum exhaust flow and a much harder tone. (For off-road or track use only.)
Full Woven Heat Shielding
Wrapped over the length of the pipe, reducing radiant heat into the engine bay and protecting the components packed around it.
Premium T304 Stainless Steel
High-grade, corrosion-resistant material built to withstand the exhaust gas temperatures a tuned N55 produces.
Flexible Braided Joint
Absorbs engine movement and driveline flex so the system is not stressed at the turbo flange.
Precision TIG-Welded Construction
Clean, strong welds that hold up under sustained heat cycling and boost pressure.
Direct Bolt-On Fitment
Mounts to the factory turbo flange and mid section using the original mounting points, with no cutting or fabrication required.
Performance Benefits (When Tuned):
Significant gains in and torque across the rev range
Noticeably faster turbhorsepowero spool and sharper throttle response
Deeper, harder exhaust note with far more turbo and wastegate character
Lower under-bonnet temperatures and reduced heat soak under sustained load

BMW F87 M2 (2016-2018)
3.0L Turbocharged N55 Engine
N55 Only - Not the M2 Competition:
This downpipe is for the N55 M2, built 2016 to 2018. It is a single pipe because the N55 is a single-turbo engine.
The M2 Competition (2019-2021) runs the twin-turbo S55 and needs a pair of downpipes, not one — see our F80/F82/F87 (S55) downpipes instead. If you are not sure which you have, the Competition badge on the boot and the quad tips are the quick check, or send us your VIN and we will confirm it before you order.
Please Note:
This is a catless downpipe intended for off-road or motorsport use only and may not comply with local emissions laws. An ECU tune is strongly recommended to realise the full benefit of the part and to manage the check engine light that removing the catalytic converter will otherwise trigger. Professional installation is recommended.
