The biggest single gain available to a stock-manifold M156. This Catless Downpipe kit removes both factory catalytic converters from the Mercedes-AMG W204 C63 and replaces them with smooth mandrel-bent stainless pipes under full woven heat shielding.
The 6.2 litre V8 is naturally aspirated, so every restriction downstream of the heads costs it directly. The factory cats are the tightest part of the system, and taking them out lets the engine clear its cylinders far more freely at the top of the rev range, where this motor does its best work.
Manufactured from T304 stainless steel with mandrel bends and precision TIG welding throughout, wrapped in woven heat shielding, with the factory sensor bungs retained.
Key Features
Full Catalyst Delete, Both Banks
The greatest single restriction in the system removed on each side, for maximum exhaust flow.
Supplied as a Matched Pair
The M156 runs a separate exhaust path for each bank, so it takes two pipes. This kit replaces both - changing only one leaves half the restriction in place.
Full Woven Heat Shielding
Wrapped over the length of both pipes, reducing radiant heat into the transmission tunnel and the components packed around them.
T304 Stainless Steel Construction
High-grade, corrosion-resistant material built to withstand the exhaust gas temperatures a hard-driven M156 produces.
Factory Sensor Bungs Retained
The oxygen sensors plug straight back into their original positions on both pipes.
Direct Bolt-On Fitment
Mounts to the factory manifold flanges and mid section using the original mounting points, with no cutting or fabrication.
Performance Benefits
The largest power and torque gain available from a single exhaust part on the M156
A far harder, more vocal V8 note
Sharper throttle response
Maximum reduction in backpressure
Lower transmission tunnel temperatures thanks to the shielding
Vehicle Fitment

6.2L Naturally Aspirated M156 V8 Engine
Supplied as a matched left and right pair. The M156 is a naturally aspirated V8 with a bank of cylinders each side, so the system runs two pipes from the headers back.
Please Note
Removing a catalytic converter is not legal for road use in Australia. This part is intended for off-road, track and motorsport use only, and it is the owner's responsibility to comply with the regulations in their state.
A catless system will trigger a check engine light without a supporting ECU tune. A tune is recommended, and professional installation is recommended.
