The most direct way to unlock the M256. This catless performance downpipe removes the factory catalytic converter entirely on the Mercedes-AMG GLE53, GT43, GT50 and GT53, replacing it with a smooth mandrel-bent stainless pipe under full woven heat shielding.

Nothing else in the exhaust costs the engine as much flow as the standard downpipe. Taking the catalyst out of the equation is the single largest reduction in backpressure available, and it is where the biggest gains from a Stage 2 tune come from.

Manufactured from 304 stainless steel with mandrel bends and precision TIG welding throughout, wrapped in woven heat shielding, with the factory sensor bungs retained.

Built for the Electrified M256

The M256 pairs a conventional turbocharger with an electric auxiliary compressor and a 48-volt starter-generator, so it builds boost almost instantly. That responsiveness is exactly why the restriction downstream is so noticeable - the engine makes the pressure quickly and then has to push it through a factory downpipe built to a noise target.

Full Woven Heat Shielding

Wrapped over the length of the pipe, reducing radiant heat into the engine bay and protecting the components packed around it.

304 Stainless Steel Construction

High-grade, corrosion-resistant material built to withstand the exhaust gas temperatures a tuned M256 produces.

Factory Sensor Bungs Retained

The oxygen sensors plug straight back into their original positions.

3.0L Turbocharged M256 Inline-Six with EQ Boost

All four cars share the same M256 engine and downpipe layout, which is why one part covers the range. The M256 is a single-turbo inline-six, so it takes one downpipe - unlike the V6 43 models, which need a matched pair.

Please Note

Removing a catalytic converter is not legal for road use in Australia. This part is intended for off-road, track and motorsport use only, and it is the owner's responsibility to comply with the regulations in their state.

A catless downpipe will trigger a check engine light without a supporting ECU tune. An ECU tune is required, and professional installation is recommended.
