An axle back replaces the rear muffler section behind the rear axle and bolts straight to your existing mid pipe. It is the most direct way to change how the S58 sounds and how the back of the car looks: all of the tone, none of the mid-pipe work, and a genuinely straightforward installation.

Titanium is where this system separates itself from a stainless one. It is substantially lighter, it holds its finish under sustained exhaust temperatures, and it carries a sharper, higher-pitched note that stainless steel cannot reproduce. Paired with the independent valve assembly and the supplied wireless remote, it delivers an exotic exhaust tone on demand without touching the rest of the factory system.

Independent Varex Valve System

Rather than reusing the restricted factory valves, this system operates its own dedicated valve assembly with complete travel in both directions. Sealed when closed for a quieter OEM+ driving experience, and fully unobstructed when open for a fully aggressive exhaust tone.

Full Titanium Construction

Manufactured from lightweight aerospace-grade titanium through the pipework, muffler body and tips for exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and substantial weight savings over both the factory and stainless steel rear sections.

Rear Section Only

Replaces the factory rear muffler section and bolts to your existing mid pipe - a far simpler installation than a full system, with no cutting or fabrication.

Choose Your Titanium Finish

The colour on a titanium exhaust is produced by heat, not by paint or coating, and it runs through the pipework and muffler body as one continuous finish. Three options are available:

Blue - deep blue through the piping with violet and gold heat banding across the bends and weld lines.

Purple - the finish shown in our photography. Rich purple and magenta across the system with bronze and gold shading over the muffler body.

Gold - warm bronze and gold dominant, with blue and violet coming through at the bends and weld lines.

Because the finish is created by heat, no two systems are identical and the banding will vary slightly from the photographs. That variation is characteristic of anodised titanium rather than a fault. Tip finish is selected separately above.

Fits Both OPF and Non-OPF Cars

On the G8X and G87 platforms, the particulate filter sits in the centre section ahead of the rear muffler. An axle back replaces only the rear section, so it does not interact with the filter at all - the same system fits filter-equipped and non-filter-equipped vehicles.

That is one of the real advantages of an axle back over a full system: no OPF specification to get wrong.
