Everything a G8X needs for Stage 2, in one order. This Stage 2+ Performance Package combines our performance air intake, catless downpipes with heat shielding, valved stainless steel catback exhaust and performance turbo inlets for the BMW G80 M3, G82 M4 and G87 M2 - four upgrades designed to work together on the twin-turbocharged S58.

Each part removes a restriction the next one depends on. The intake and turbo inlets let the turbochargers draw more air, the catless downpipes remove the biggest restriction on the exhaust side, and the valved catback carries that flow out while giving you control of the volume. Together they give a Stage 2 tune the hardware it needs to make its power - and bought as a package they cost less than buying each part separately.

Performance Air Intake

Twin high-flow filters in enclosed heat shields with an oversized intake pipe, replacing the restrictive factory airbox for more airflow and a sharper induction note.

Catless Downpipes with Heat Shield

A matched pair of mandrel-bent stainless downpipes with full woven heat shielding - the largest single reduction in backpressure available to the S58.

Stainless Steel Valved Catback Exhaust

A full valved catback with quad tips and the wireless valve remote kit, switching between a refined OEM+ tone and a fully open, aggressive note. The M3 and M4 receive the G80/G82 system; the M2 receives the matching G87 system - select your car at checkout.

Performance Turbo Inlets

CNC-machined billet aluminium inlets that replace the restrictive factory items, letting both turbochargers breathe more freely and spool more readily.

What Gains Can You Expect?

The S58 is one of the most responsive engines BMW has ever built to tuning. With this hardware installed and a quality Stage 2 ECU tune, these are the figures owners and tuners are consistently reporting:

Factory (M3 / M4 Competition): 375kW / 650Nm
Stage 2 on 98 RON pump fuel: approximately 480-500kW (650-680hp) and 800-850Nm at the crank
Stage 2 on an ethanol blend (E30-E50): 520kW+ (700hp+) is regularly achieved

At the wheels, Australian dyno results for Stage 2 G80 M3 Competitions sit around 390-400kW and 800Nm+ on 98 RON - a gain of roughly 80kW at the wheels over a factory car. The G87 M2 shares the same S58 engine and turbochargers, so it reaches similar figures from a lower factory starting point (338kW / 550Nm, or 353kW / 600Nm from 2025).

Results vary with the tuner, fuel quality, ambient conditions and the health of the car. These figures are a guide, not a guarantee.

Why A TCU Tune Matters

At Stage 2 the S58 makes well over 800Nm - more than the factory 8-speed automatic is calibrated to accept. Without a transmission (TCU) tune the gearbox will limit torque in the lower gears and the car will not deliver its full potential. A TCU tune raises those torque limits and sharpens the gearbox to match: faster, firmer shifts, gears held to the limiter, improved launch control and more consistent power delivery.

We strongly recommend an ECU and TCU tune together for automatic cars. Manual G87 M2 and M3 models do not require a TCU tune.

This is a hardware package - tuning is not included. An ECU tune is required to run catless downpipes and to realise the gains above, and a TCU tune is strongly recommended on automatic cars. Please organise a reputable tuner experienced with the S58.

Removing a catalytic converter is not legal for road use in Australia. This package is intended for off-road, track and motorsport use only, and it is the owner's responsibility to comply with the regulations in their state.

Professional installation is recommended.
