On the G8X and G87 platforms, the particulate filter sits in the centre section ahead of the rear muffler. An axle back replaces only the rear section, so it does not interact with the filter at all — the same system fits filter-equipped and non-filter-equipped vehicles.

That is one of the real advantages of an axle back over a full system: no OPF specification to get wrong.
