The factory downpipe and its catalytic converter are the single largest restriction in the standard exhaust path, and replacing them is the first hardware step almost every tuned A45 and CLA45 takes.

Manufactured from premium T304 stainless steel and precision TIG welded throughout, it is built to handle the heat and boost pressure a Stage 2 car generates. The integrated heat shield keeps radiant heat off the gearbox, driveshafts and bulkhead sitting directly behind it, which matters on a transverse layout where the turbocharger is packaged hard against the firewall.
